PROACTIVE RX, LLC. ("ProActive") is a privately-held, independent corporation located in Ohio. PROACTIVE provides 100% electronic, real-time, on-line pharmacy claims processing and data management services for LTCF's, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from coast-to-coast. 

Today, PROACTIVE offers the following services to the LTCF marketplace:

Plan Design and Management Consulting: 

• On-line, real-time, prescription drug claims adjudication capabilities at the point-of-sale through proprietary software. Today, more than one million prescriptions per month are managed using ProActive’s state-of-the-art claims processing system.
• Data warehousing services
• Extensive Reporting capabilities - Routine and ad hoc -- designed to the LTCF’s specification
• Cash management options -- designed for each LTCF
• Call Center - Dedicated customer service units for immediate needs
• On-site training of LTCF management and staff, with follow-up visits by ProActive’s dedicated customer service representatives.
• ProActive Manual with recommended procedures and forms.

Flexible Options:

• Single/Multiple Formulary Program Review and Management: The basic goal of ProActive’s Formulary is to provide the highest quality pharmaceutical care at the lowest cost. As an independent (non-manufacturer owned) provider, ProActive has no hidden agendas relative to pushing product to the LTCF. ProActive can administer (adjudicate) the formulary based on the LTCF’s specific plan designs or ProActive can provide each LTCF with the tools to maintain their own custom formulary on-line.
• Drug Utilization Review:  ProActive’s pre-dispensing DUR edit checks are performed on-line, real-time, at the point of dispensing. All prescriptions are first checked for eligibility and plan design features and are then compared against previous histories of prescriptions filled by the same pharmacy.
• Clinical Services and Consulting: ProActive’s Clinical Programs utilize complete prescription drug information to reduce the growth rate of prescription drug costs and to increase the quality of care and patient safety provided to the LTCF’s.  ProActive’s unique approach to managing the prescription drug benefit goes beyond price and product and focuses on utilization.
• MAC Management: ProActive’s MAC list and pricing is designed to provide adequate reimbursement to promote generic dispensing by the pharmacy, while achieving competitive discounts and cost controls on generically available drug products. ProActive can also develop, provide pricing and utilization support to maintain a LTCF specific MAC list.
• Specialty Pharmacy Service:  ProActive has relationships with specialty pharmacy providers and can interface with any of the existing network pharmacy providers. Our approach and philosophy is that we do not have a financial interest or revenue stream from these areas and can therefore offer flexibility to meet your needs. ProActive can assist you in contracting for these services on an exclusive or open participation basis.

• Member Information Portals: ProActive’s LTCF Portal introduces LTCF’s to their prescription benefit programs through the Internet. The home page invites the member to learn more about their prescription benefit program, their medication history, drug information, and related industry news. The portal can be customized with the LTCF’s logo, organization’s name, links to your organization’s Internet home site, and up-to-date news bulletins about your organization.
• Enrollment and Eligibility: ProActive allows each LTCF to perform its own eligibility updates on-line, real-time, or ProActive can provide full eligibility updates, ad-hoc or updates in emergency situations.
